Pedal board power supplies

I'm sure we've talked about this somewhere else before. What pedalboard power supply are you using? I'm trying to figure out if I want to get by with what I've got and some daisy chaining, or if there's something better out there
 
I use an Ernie ball volt has 4 individual 9v slots with 300mah. Also has a spot for an 18v if needed. The best part is it fits on your pocket lol
 
You can always roll your own with 18650 batteries and MP1584EN converters. This has 23.2Ah at 16V as the main supply (has to be 3v higher than the buck down target) and the converter has 96% efficiency. Basically I go a couple months without recharging. It has two converters and 16 barrels because I wanted to see how long it would run with a huge load (not shown). Answer: who knows I got tired of waiting.

I have a more eloquent layout with fewer batteries and ports that I have in the dev stage, 'cuz this was total overkill, lol....

Gigrig. It's expensive but it rules if you plan to run a big board or a medium with a lot of high needs pedals. I've been slowly upgrading, I currently have 2 isolators en route since I've expanded my board (@Chuck D. Bones fault, I never had a flanger or a klon type included 'til now) to the point that I'm currently using 2 distributers, an isolator and 2 high current adapters (timelord and el paso) and I still need a daisy chain. 5 amps is giving me a lot of available juice to be a complete pig with my board.
 
This is probably not what you're looking for but for the price I have been happy with these. I don't think I believe the isolated part 100%. Not because of any negative experience but because someone tried to explain why it wasn't isolated to me once.

Isolated, just diodes on both sides of each barrel. Easy. They sell isolated 125v wall plugs too, with the diode symbol on them. They're orange. Ugh. I had one of these and it just smoked one night. Nothing happened to the pedals, but it made that nasty sweetish smell and was toast.

Tone you could smell huh? I run 2 under my board and have a backup. The oldest one has been going for maybe 3 years now. I am ready for one of them to fail and maybe a bit surprised it hasn't happened yet.

this was quite a while ago, I did open it up and take a look to see swollen caps. probably more fake caps from china..... That's one of the reasons why I decided to build my own, if it breaks, I can fix it. The other is just one less cord. The MP1584EN DC to DC is *dead silent*. Much quieter than a toroidal transformer. It has built in overload, reverse current and overload protection too. And it's CHEAP. Like a $1.50... I got the batteries for $1.50 each, they're 18650 that's 18mmx65mm the same battery used in the Tesla car. So for practically nothing, I have a power brick that runs months without recharging.

You just have to watch the internal resistance, when it gets too high it's time to recycle it. That's what causes them to catch on fire, they're welded into an array in a car, you can't measure each one's resistance. One lemon in 8000 batteries and its BOOM.

Pretty sure that's the exact same one I have. Fits under a Pedaltrain mini. And it's almost overkill for my use! I have a Flint and a UA Delay on my board right now so need the amps.

I’ve got that and I’m a basement player. No issues from me. Price is good too, but it’s not isolated.
