Buying a guitar on AliExpress be like

That's a pretty rad looking guitar. Never owned any sort of Rick-type
My first guitar was/is a 1967 Rickenbacker 420. The one pickup "beatles" guitar. Got it after I got an A+ in my first 3 month guitar class. I was 11, so Dad bought it for me.

However,,,,,I ordered this back in November 2022 and IT'S EATING A HOLE IN MY MIND, lol.... The typical wait for a Rick is 8 to 12 months, so I have a ways yet to go. My 401k is open since I'm retired, and I can basically *blow* $10,000 a year for the next 25 years. Which is kind of a good feeling, but I'll be 92 then. If I make it to 92.

That's crazy. I didn't realize they had a wait list.

I think the 420 is what one of my main inspirations used to play - kkkkkatguitarrs_465_352_int.jpg

Not too familiar with all the model numbers, but I've always kinda wanted to whip up a six string 4003 bass VI

My 420 *never* looked that good!!! :ROFLMAO:

I need to open it up and find out why the tone got weird. The normal treble channel works but the muted tone is way too muted. I'll try deoxit first, and if that doesn't work I'll replace the capacitors.....

A cap replacement might be in order simply because of its age. I'd love to see the inside when you do the work

I'll post that here. I have about 35 pounds of 400v-630v capacitors, lol, I think I should be able to find something appropriate.
