Whelp...

Pignose amp, right? I'm assuming one of those little things with the piggy pig pig nose volume knob.

Honestly, it already is a pedal. That preamp out tap there on the schematic goes straight off a tap on the output transformer.

This seems easy enough to breadboard. I'm sure one could alter the power amp stage to use a pair of small signal NPNs like a 2n5088.

Though that speaker there is gonna be part of the Pignose...erm...charm.

Buut...I mean...it could be done exactly as written. You just gotta find transformers that match the Pignose specs. Though that output transformer wouldn't need that additional tap for the speaker.

Ok, this is a good start. My thinking was a pedal that would deliver the same sound (more or less) as the amp. I’m ok with pedal schematics, not so much with amp schematics. So it will take a bit of studying to find out what can be deleted and what needs to be replaced.

After a bit more research, it looks as if the main issue against a pedal version would the transformers. The driver transformer would be necessary to get the right tone. I don’t think the output transformer would have to stay…I imagine it could be replaced by something else. Of course, the speaker is going at add something as well. I guess if it was simple it would have been done already…

I just had a friend ask for this. Has anyone done anything with this? I saw @Chuck D. Bones experiences with the company and wondered if it’s possible or even worth trying to make a pedal version.

Or what about the "Piggy in a Box" pedal? Didn't that exist for a while? I can't seem to find one for sale.

It’s in my plans. Tracing it after the semester is over. 🐷
