What’s on *YOUR* workbench?

I've seen a number of clearly marked 104 (100nF) but when measured they read ~82nF.

That would fit within 20% tolerance -- just barely. Not unexpected for eighties caps -- especially if not in a critical place. Having said that, I also often don't trust my eyes (or brain...) and measure stuff rather than (or in addition to) decode it. Those pesky 1% tolerance resistors are easy to read in the wrong direction:

This is actually the first of my Specia-K builds but I wasn't super happy with the etcing..

but this red-eye treatment really works for me...

Super PITA getting a marble lit under the board though.

Just soldered a few 2sk880GR fets. It can be done, but those bastards are TINY (DIP16 for scale)

Maybe it's because it's barely 8am but I can't figure out where the 3k goes. Isn't it the biasing resistor for Q2c? A bit low for that too.
And the 220k from input to ground is...a high pass filter?
Man I have to stop looking at vero so early in the morning
