What’s on *YOUR* workbench?

A shortlist of things I've been curious about. Jazzmaster shaped j bridge from Mojo, novak fatbucker in the neck, and a cream serek b90 in the middle.View attachment 45892
Did you get the B90 with the dummy coil?

BTW just yesterday I finally managed to have a Serek Grand owner send me gut shots of the electronics. As you know it has a Black Ice passive fuzz circuit. I thought it would have a resistor in the off position to match the volume drop caused by the diodes. Turns out it doesn't and the volume drop is still there.

Honestly I'm not impressed with the wiring, especially for the hefty price tag. No shielding in the cavity, sloppy solder joints. Even I could do better. Jake's basses seem fantastic, however.

No, I considered it but I've been gassing for the b90 since long before the lazenb90 came out. I figure that I can buck the hum with the bridge pickup.

That is unfortunate about the grand. I'd want that shit extremely clean for those prices. Everybody seems to be jocking the sereks these days though. There must be some mojo in there somewhere.

I've never played a black ice circuit but I remember seeing them in my first stewmac catalog and thinking "there's absolutely no way anything good comes out of that." Should we put it on the wishlist?

I built a black ice and it was underwhelming. Plus the volume drop was massive and in order to match it I had to put a large resistor in series with the clean tone so I had two weak tones.

My auditorium (minus the switch bc I didn’t realize I’m all out of 3pdt on-on toggles) and a handful of Madbean breadboard pot adapters, and two 1p8t rotary switches on the @PedalPCB adapter boards. Meant to do a pair of 2p4ts too, but I forgot to order them so they’ll have to wait until the next Tayda order

I just realized the white input and output jacks. Real slick 😉
