Tayda - Thailand Post Rant

I ordered shit from Tayda a month ago. For 3 weeks Thailand Post tracking has said the “transport departed from transit airport.”

I have no clue what this means. I‘ve had good luck with post from Tayda before…it’s never taken this long.

Anybody currently having similar issues with Thailand Post delivery from Tayda? What did you do about it? I’m curious.

I have had that issue once, and I am located in North Carolina. When I contacted Tayda, they gave me a time window to expect the package. I eventually got the package in that window. If my memory is correct, they would refund me if the package did not arrive.

Right now, I only use DHL for shipping with them. For my area, they seem more dependable than USPS and UPS.

I feel like these problems come up with shipping to Canada specifically. Something with Canadian customs that seems to cost people a lot of time and money that they weren't expecting.

Wish I knew. I prefer Canada Post because the customs stuff is way easier and more reasonable. Thailand Post has not been a problem in the past, so maybe my stuff is rotting in a depot in Vancouver or something.

I just can’t use DHL or UPS or FedEx. Too many regret$.

Just had my first Tayda order delivered 4 days earlier than they estimated via DHL. I'm in Seattle area. Things really moved fast as soon as they got it to the airport in Thailand as it took less than 3 days from there to my door.

with the issues.. I leave tayda orders for when it's the only place that has it... I can find most stuff on Cabintech SBE, SBP, AP, Mouser and Digi-Key(I'm a US resident) but I've seen USPS send my crap on a 3 state round trip when it should take 2.5 days max across 5 counties, UPS and DHL will barely get it on my porch, when I'm at work for a min 6~7 hours after they've been through..

I almost always choose Thailand post, but once it get shipped, it's 3 weeks minimum to receive stuff. Happens I ordered exactly 3 weeks ago and still waiting. I had uv printing, but it should be there somewhere next week.

You find shipping rates have gone up? Almost 15$ for a 1590xx, and the more I buy, the more it costs if I go with Thai post. Maybe it always was that way.

Fingers crossed!

I do. Generally with every service and specifically with Tayda - Thailand Post option has gone up significantly in the past 2 years.

For what it's worth my order right before this one was DHL, which worried me, but ended up fine, but I did talk to Tayda in advance about marking the value low, so YMMV

I've had a dozen or more shipments via DHL to the US in the last 2 years. All have been in my hands within 48-72 hours of them hitting the airport. It's crazy fast. I hate they pulled out of domestic shipping here.

DHL is my absolute last choice. Given where I live, they often just hand off to the USPS after sitting on my shipments for several days. 12 days transit time from Tayda the last time, which very well may have been the last time. ;)

I always use DHL. Even though I live in the middle of bumfuck Egypt and I've never never had an issue. They pass it off to the USPS so maybe that's why?
