Any new concerts you're looking forward to (formerly 2023 concerts)

I was checking out the new Dogstar album yesterday. Not bad. I've never listened to the previous albums so I can't compare. Rumor is that Fender is going to release a Keanu Reeves signature P bass.
Seems likely. Fender has been spamming all of the typical channels with a video of Keanu holding a 70s p bass, and they’ve been captioning it with something like “something new coming”
I’m guessing that the metallic blueburst he was playing last night (as pictured above) is one of the prototypes or pre-production models of it

This was an exceptionally good year for me gig-wise - I live in rural France and it's not always easy to make long trips to bigger cities for gigs. Plus money-wise things aren't easy of course, but I managed to see :

- Swans
- Alt-J
- King Gizzard

Three of my favorite current bands. Each gig was excellent too!

@Bricksnbeatles if you've ever wanted to see Ween played by a hippie marching band, the time is now!

Man… if I lived closer!

I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on on YouTube for footage of that after it happens.

I’ve actually been trying to persuade a friend of mine who is a section leader in my university’s marching band to add a few songs to their repertoire, including Poopship Destroyer 😂

It's walkable for me but I bet it'll sell out quickly.

Sometimes the exhilaration of seeing someone this good outweighs the depression of knowing that either hand of his can make more music than both of mine ever will... And, at my all time favorite venue, Freight and Salvage. If I measure performances by how long I keep a shit-eating grin on my face, the Freight has by far the highest numbers.

Last night was Tool. Really good show, but I didn't know a lot of the new stuff.

The opener was Steel Beans and he was amazing. He was a one man band playing guitar and drums at the same time. Highly recommend seeing him if he comes to town.

P-Funk Halloweekend tonight!
Gotta say, I forgot how bad P-funk is at their merch game— supposed farewell tour and they have a pretty bad Tee Shirt for $50 and some stickers of anime girls that have nothing to do with the band/music. Lucky, since it means I won’t be tempted to spend money I don’t have 😂

Should be a fun night!

I saw p-funk in 2002. When me and my buddy walked up to the gate to get in to the show, a white Mercedes Benz rolled up and almost crashed into the gate. The windows rolled down… smoke billows out of the car and George Clinton looks out and says “what’s up kids” and then the car backs up super fast and they drove off. Great show. I’ve never seen a more diverse crowd dancing and having a good time together. One of the best shows I’ve ever seen and it also reaffirmed my faith in humanity and musics ability to bring people together

Had horrible crippling stomach issues for the past 3 weeks. Tool plays tonight and I've got tickets. Going to the ER first thing in the morning, not missing this concert.

Steve Hackett this Friday.

Acid King tonight! With Simple Forms and Sorcia:

Edit: such rock! I was on beam of Lori's rig and it was so loud. She played her '73 Les Paul Custom into a Little Big Muff (the old one knob one) into a JCM800 full stack. More gritty than roaring. Earplugs (loop) were no match for the stage volume. One of the coolest musicians I've ever seen live.

I have my ticket to go see this band called Dusk next Thursday in Toronto. I didn’t know cool shit was allowed to happen here anymore, so I am dusting off my sorry carcass and joining humanity in this weird place called “outside.”

The last show I remember seeing was Lucinda Williams at Massey Hall before my kid was born. She‘s turning 8. It’s time 😂
