What’s on *YOUR* workbench?

I love small circuit …circuit boards. So will that have a separate pot next to your other controls or higher up on the body (closest to you)? Or something like that?

I'm a dingus, didn't see that other attached pic.
I love small circuits too! Not quite into SMD yet though. I’m thinking I’ll have this in between my master Vol and master tone? Not sure yet, this will be my first circuit inside a guitar, I’m also thinking I’ll have to attach the 9v to the inside of the control plate, we shall see

So I did some experimenting today. I decided to mix 2 different top coats together.

Here are the results:
It’s a purple that color shifts to gold with the rainbow effect added lightly to not disturb the true color. I think it came out fantastic!

The colors much much more intense in the light. It was hard to capture shots of everything going on at once.

Looks great! These are starting to remind me of my wife's nail polishes. Too bad I don't think the color changing based on temperature would be that useful in a guitar pedal, that's another big trend lately I think. A germanium fuzz that changes color if it's too hot or cold maybe?

I guess this is technically on my workbench lol JLC sent this to me by mistake, I got 2/5 of the right ones. The other 3 were these guys. Any idea what it might be?

Is 4k7 too strong of a CLR for green LEDs? In real life the blue looks correct and the green is super dim.
Pro-10? I did the same thing, including tayda diffused green LED in the exact same chrome bezel, ha. Ended up reducing my CLR as well, to minimal effect. It bothered me for a while but I’ve gotten used to it.

Appreciate you bringing this up, though! Thanks to JTEX reply, I’m now better informed for the next LED order 🌈 the more you knoooow

It bothered me enough that I switched to a yellow LED. It's slightly orange which looks great with the Blue. I'll definitely pay more attention buying them in the future thanks to the LED Masterclass from JTEX :)

About to give @jessenator s Wurst/Worst Fuzz a test drive

A little makeshiftery, but no changes to the actual circuit.
But, had to open up my $35 reverb find today to peak up it's skirt, and check the caps/lube the pots
These were sold under ~ 20 different labels in a 2 and 3 knob version but this is an Epi EP-CH-70

Plastic Japanese single layer goodness.

3102 and a 3209 with a jrc4558.
Beats a behringer. Would be cool to rehouse and true bypass but that seems like a lot of work. Maybe mount it in some noise box one day.
Or just spill a bunch of beer on it like the last guy.

edit, 3209

Yeah! Totally an Omnifex product, like the Electra I keep harping on about :P Same board shape, same off-board wiring. Nice find!

I became aware of most of those aspects a couple of years ago via a Public TV documentary. Then I was looking for cool free use images online and saw that one and decided to give it a whirl. I mostly wanted to see how well Amplifyfun could handle it, and whether vectorizing was really necessary. Spencer requested just a high resolution raster image, unless I wanted a more glitchy look. I think he did a fab job and we did a second one on a white Gorva at the same time that I'll probably keep for myself.

It looks great. I think I'd like the white one even better though.
