DAMN IT! IT.... IT...... It.... it... it... itView attachment 69574
Made kind of a silly low offer for this brand new unopened. Now I have one. I gotta stop doing that.
And here I was going to ask you how you got a hold of the same NOS OC75s and SFT337s Warm Audio used in the Warm BenderDon't bother. 16/32 either wouldn't read as transistors(some read as jfets!), or had 1-4hfe. One had 26hfe and 995uA!
4/32 had somewhat usable gain/leakages with 1 at 250hfe and low leakage.
10 had high leakage but worked. Most in the 45-85 hfe range.
So 4-5 possibly usable PNPs for $11. Add in the dried shrimp smell and God knows what's in the corrosion on these legs that I had to steel wool off...
And I only bought 20 and they sent me 32...
The 3ax31c were all bad.
2/3 of the 3ax31a functioned but only 1 "good" one.
3ax31d had a few "good" ones and the rest were diodes, caps and jfets.
A buddy of mine recently replaced his beloved but tired dl4 with the recent updated version and he said it's "not doing it" for him. You likely made the right choice.View attachment 69574

I totally thought that said POUND TOWN at first glance.Technically it just got here, but it WAS in the mailbox a few moments ago. My new open frame desktop 8U adjustable angle rack

My older 8U weighs about 30 pounds empty. Carpet covered particle board. I can carry this with one hand unloaded. My older one has a power amp, really old mixer, and power conditioner and is in mothballs with the rest of my now unused PA equipment (JBL JRX125'S)I totally thought that said POUND TOWN at first glance.
I love the encapsulated nuts and adjustable. Well, until I would have to remove a piece of gear to get the nut out from behind it. Those guys can get way more top heavy than you'd think.

As someone who primarily plays at home now, the Princeton gets the most love out of all of my amps. In fact, im seriously considering thinning the herd and just keeping the Princeton. As long as I keep it clean I love it… just don’t like how they break up when cranked- of course that would get me evicted anyways.. and hey I got pedals if I want dirt!Tube reverb is amazing. I’m really digging this, so far. It sits somewhere between my blues jr and my blues deluxe. Like all the others, the volume pot is rather sensitive.
Same, the blues deluxe is overkill, for me. There are some mods to create more headroom to prevent early breakup. However, I too live in an apartment, so probably won’t ever get that loud.As someone who primarily plays at home now, the Princeton gets the most love out of all of my amps. The fret finishing 100% lives up to the hype. Beautifully crafted neck. I’m really pleased with the overall build quality. How is the setup and fret finishing?
A 12ax7 for the Lab Rat, some stealth chicken heads I forgot were in my cart, an impulse buy, and a replacement for the Attack Decay I seem to have lost in the move

I love that mosky's are sporting nice knobs, amp jewels and top jacks these days. It's got a fancier exterior than most of the boutique brands out there.
When you see a couple boards you’ve been waiting for finally come in at the same time as a sale, you can’t help but buy! I think I ended up with about a dozen boards and a dozen switch breakouts.I succumbed to the PCB sale... More for the pile!
In all honesty, my daughter is very interested in what I do building pedals and wants to help. So, I ordered a few smaller circuits we can work on together. Trembling Loon, Hotcakes, and a Slow Gear (because I want to send a delay line through a slow gear for some reason).
