What's your current headache?

Dang, where are you gonna find a repair shop? I hope you kept the receipt...

I'd say it's virtually useless now so if you want I can cover the cost of shipping it here to be properly disposed of.

I've been wanting to rehouse it for a while now with banana jacks so I can use a decent set of removable / replaceable leads.... I suppose now's the time.

I did patch it up for now though. :ROFLMAO:

My company had layoffs yesterday too. I survived. (Do we work for the same company? Or are all companies laying off?)
We had layoffs last fall, which means we're at the stage now where we have too much work and not enough people. At my group's latest staff meeting, one of my coworkers asked "if we had so many contracts lined up that we're now slammed with work, why did we lay off 5% of our staff just a couple months ago?" My manager did not have an answer.

I’m pretty sure that answer boils down to “profit margin” if I had to take a guess.

My current headache is an actual headache, man my raisin brain is pounding

Probably. At the time they said it was because we didn't have enough work to keep everyone on, but I was already juggling three projects, and after the layoffs I picked up two more projects from people that were let go.
Some days I miss work it could be just as much fun as it was stressful but I definitely don’t miss those sort of situations.

There can be peace found in a comically large workload. I know I will never be able to get to everything. It’s all about management understanding that, and presenting progress in a way that makes the stakeholders feel good. What sucks is when management disregards your humanity.

I have an excellent manager, I don't blame him at all for the things that happen 2-3 levels above him. He gives me things because he knows I'll do them and do them right, but if I'm ever feeling overwhelmed (which happens sometimes) I know that I can talk to him and he'll take things off my plate and find someone else to give them to.

Corporate decisions are a headache, my immediate manager is very much not a headache. Probably helps that he's also a guitarist.
