What's your current headache?

My girlfriend’s brother is an antagonistic asshole, and he’s more than happy to let his personal vendetta against me leave a sour note at the end of a very special day for his sister.
I’d go into it more, but the less said the better. I’ve tried time and time again to connect and/or make peace with this motherfucker, but he’s too hell-bent on making things worse for everyone else in his life.
 
My non-verbal son started having seizures about two years ago... he also "suffers" from insomnia.

We don't like to leave him up by himself at night since he can't tell us if he is having (or has had) a seizure while we were sleeping... so, we've been on the night shift for about two weeks now.

It's midnight, I just woke up a little over an hour ago and am on my second cup of coffee.

The real kicker is that he could flip schedules on us at any moment and go back to sleeping at night with no warning whatsoever.... I don't adjust quite as quickly. :ROFLMAO:

My situation is not the same as yours but I feel you. I'm lucky if I ever get more than 3 hours of consecutive sleep ever before being woken up. Some nights I'm lucky if I get 3 hours total.
 
He has medication at 7am, 3pm, 7pm, 11pm. I've been crashing at around 3pm after giving him his afternoon dose, which means I'll be back up in no less than 4 hours for the next... and that's assuming everything else falls perfectly into place.

Despite my severe sleep deprivation I have a hard time falling asleep... so once I'm up I'm usually up for good.
 
I look after folks like your son, Robert. Doing that without some staffing like our houses have is immense. I’m only there for 8 (well a lot of the times 16, and Im not allowed to fall asleep 😂) hours a day but the burn out is real. Take care of yourselves.

(my residents came with docs tho)
 
Speaking of which, my headache is agreeing to give my friend a ride to the airport this Saturday. Asked him what time, he said “early” and I didn’t think anything of it and booked a double at work (3pm-7am the next day). I asked what time and we need to leave the house and it’s at 5:30am. It’s also my 40th birthday that day. I hate myself I guess 😂

it's probably just the sump pump for the water tank. They're easy to replace

I woke up at 1pm on Friday. I finally went to bed and got an actual good sleep after 7am Sunday. Good birthday 😂
 
Replacing a (7yr old) car battery in the wife's car turned into getting a new alternator. Didn't bother checking the charging voltage with the old (jumped) battery, but now I know. Charging voltage was 13.4, lower than standard 14.4V. but kicker was that car just stopped running after having done some idle and load tests in the driveway.

And based on my car battery behavior at the beginning of the year, I'm due for a battery as well. 2025 is the year of car things.
 
I was literally just about to finish up a build. Last thing I needed to populate was a pair of TLP240D photorelays for the optical bypass boards. I ordered them from mouser last August, so like 14 months ago.
I only just noticed that they sent me the TLP240D-TP1F, which is an SMD package instead of DIP4. The pin spacing doesn’t really work for tacking in place as if they were SMD pads, and I don’t wanna do a hack job to make it work, because I don’t do hack jobs. I guess this build will one again be put on hold for multiple weeks until I can get the correct part.
