Report back!
I think this is the one. With the Muzzle, I was planning on keeping the MXR in the chain as the Muzzle didn't really quash the single coil hum, but with the G8 I don't think I'll need to

Here's a quickie with a Rat in the loop, and controls set to 50%

Sustain is a bit fiddly, so I'll definitely need to play with the controls a bit. But I'm already planning on mounting it under my board as an always on

I spent all summer ripping the back end of my bmw apart, removing all the rust, welding reinforcements to the frame, treating all of it with various paints, installing new suspension components, bushings, and brake lines, and finally got it all together two weekends ago. This week I replaced the thermostat because the one I'd put in a few years ago, when I redid the whole front end of the car, was soft. Then it didn't fit well with one of the coolant hoses so I purchased a new one of those. I was bleeding the system today and snapped the bleed screw off, which is apparently a common problem. The biggest car meet of the year is this weekend. So these are in the mail for tomorrow morning.

this led is for a project I was building for a friend for his mxr bass synth. Basically allowing you to switch between a momentary switch and an expression pedal. It was meant to go in a 1590a with two jacks, a 3pdt, a momentary and dc jack. Looks like were going up in enclosure size. After looking back at the LMS website it clearly states its a 16mm bezel… 🤦‍♂️

more details please! I’ve got an ‘09 328i xdrive
Those are cool. Mine is a '99 328 sedan. It came to me as a 323i automatic with a blown motor and is now a 2.8 manual with all new everything. It's in nice shape for its age. When drew me to it was its owner history: adult owned and unmodified. My previous car was an '87 325i convertible, which at first was a basket case but over the years I turned it into a pretty nice car. I was planning a motor swap when the car was totalled in a freak accident. I ended up putting the motor that was meant for my old car into the newer one, and along the way it was fully reconditioned.

These came yesterday:

As my wall of (DIY) amps and preamps is coming together quite nicely I've been looking towards the endgame and actually making some music (haha). I recently picked up the Morningstar MC8 to bring my pedal board and drum machine together, and aside from just syncing up my delays, I'd love some more rhythmic effects in the mix (pun). Initial impressions of the Mess are great. It's something you can get lost in so I'll likely spend a few sessions creating some effects presets that I can spin in. It's well built, heavy, quality feels as good or better as the Meris big box pedals.

The Deco. I have tried to ignore this pedal for so long. I love subtle stereo widening chorus, and while there are some top of the mountain chorus effects in the Meris Mercury X and LVX, they don't have that mind blowing wide stereo spread that has lived in my head since I tried the Roland JC120 in a store as a teenager. This does it. I thought about building a double Boss CE-2, I need true stereo, but I did some ghetto testing with a CE-2 and Small Clone and I just wasn't feeling it. I did consider the DC-2W but I wanted some fine control. Anyway, the Deco tape flange effect, Doubletracker button held down, does the Butch Vig Siamese Dream tape flange effect very well. I'm excited to combine it with Duo-Phase.

TLDR: Bought some (more) pedals for the stereo post-amp(s) pedal board. Happy.

Cool mail day and one cool thing not in the mail. I'll start with what wasn't in the mail:

My grandma worked at Sylvania from like the mid 50s to the early 70s. She soldered filament in vacuum tubes. She used these tweezers in her time there. Every time I use Sylvania tubes in an amp, I like to pretend she made them.

Next up, new snare. I only got to try it out for a sec and it's not remotely tuned up. The lugs are just above finger tight, but what a difference to my old pearl steel shell snare that is super warped and sounds horrible. New snare is a Yamaha stage custom birch in a natural finish

Last but not least, I decided recently that I wanted to start collecting Capitol Tapes "in the beautiful box" again, which I had been doing several years ago. These came today
