My case is basically - what is not in my mailbox.
I placed an order with Mouser and a few hours later received an email: Order cancellation. "Due to restrictions imposed by the manufacturer, we are unable to ship the following products to your location." I contacted Mouser Poland by phone and was informed that Analog Devices would not sell me the op amp. Because they don't sell this model to individuals or resellers. Interesting, because I bought the same thing a year ago without any problems. Shame.

The guys in the brown truck beat it up pretty good on its way here. Looks like it got dropped on the corner where the ADAT card is. One of the thumbscrews took a good hit, but the card still seems to go in straight and seat okay, so I’m hopeful.

It’s 9 degrees Fahrenheit out right now, so I’m going to give it some time to come up to room temp before I do any testing.

Black Friday Stompbox Parts order.

Speaking of Stompbox Parts, here's a small order I put in for a few parts I misordered from Tayda. No, I didn't "Triple Check" my Tayda order before submitting, so lesson learned.



But, wait! There's more!

I then asked @StompBoxParts to "Surprise Me" in the order comments section. Christmas does come but once a year! He's real, you guys!

Miscellaneous knobs, enough sockets to last a lifetime, 1/4 jack, and a huge bag of miscellaneous pots. Cool dude. Cool company. I will be buying from again more frequently next time I need parts. Just not sockets anymore.

Certainly what I needed to finish the UberDrive. When the Mouser box comes (tomorrow?) I can finish up some -almost done- boards.

Just picked up expanded metal mesh. Gotta bend the edges to a 90 degree angle to fit it on the baffle as a sort of box (with some 15mm depth (faked here by placing some slats underneath it). Because the baffle will be matte metal, I'd love to see shadowplay coming from this... Especially with my idea to point a portable beamer at the baffle with disturbing visuals: the "fence" itself will add a nice oppressive touch to whatever is playing behind it (through the shadow effect).

Speakers got aluminum caps, so that's perfect. Still pondering about coloring the black cones,,or go the easy way by stretching some fine and dense metallic mesh over the speak holes to add some more surface for the visuals tot pop up on.
