good point. For a one sided etched board with stranded wire I absolutely can see the benefit.
i guess when you've got plated thru-hole, it becomes less necessary.

that's correct.Correct me if I'm wrong @johnk_10, but I believe he drills out unused pads and uses them for stress relief.
The wire is just passing through the board, not actually making an electrical connection to the GND pad.
BTW, the entire PCB is very heavily gooped.
That's funny. I used the same 500v ceramics in my builds without seeing this first. They were the only 20n I had.
When the termite man comes out to spray your house, just ask him to give the ol’ pedalboard a spritz. At least the cork won't break down for 3-4 years ..
Depends on how old the cork was when it went in the enclosure...At least the cork won't break down for 3-4 years ..
Some of those joints look so bad it's embarrasing.I have to say, the construction of these really left me disappointed compared to all of the photos of other pedals on the Circle Electric website.
The stripboard in mine was held in place with hot glue and insulated from the enclosure with cork...

This one is my favorite. I bet if you smack it on the table a few times 3+ joints fail.
