If left with only...

Coda your choices are close to mine but slightly different! If I was to choose a Pink Floyd album it would be Wish You Were Here. And if I was to choose a Pixies album it would be either Doolittle or Bossanova. I was interested to find that Bossanova is Joey Santiago's favourite of their albums. I can't choose between it and Doolittle - I love them both.

And Beatles? Rubber Soul is up there but for me it would be Hey Jude, which wasn't even a "real" album but a collection of singles.

Anything by BRMC would suit me.

Hey Jude is a great compilation. I always loved the bass tone on Old Brown Shoe.

Are we allowed Box Sets?

It'd be a toss up between Django & Dixon, the gypsy and the boxer respectively.

One 78rpm only — London Calling.

Or I might just choose...

Seriously a difficult question, 'cause tomorrow's answer would be different from yesterday's answer never being like today's response.

It’s a toss up between Pat Boone: in a metal mood or Mariah Carey: Glitter.

but all joking aside my go to right now Polyphia: new levels new devils.... phenomenal guitar work check out G.O.A.T... And tell me that kid can’t play!

Coda I LOVE Old Brown Shoe, and I still don't know why it's called Old Brown Shoe. Hey Jude is a rare thing - a Beatles album where you don't have to fast forward over Ringo's song. It still amazes me how "in your face" the songs all are. The sounds and voices leap out of the speakers at you. They're not pristine, perfect recordings. They're warm, intimate, spontaneous, inspired and incredibly energetic.

I can remember playing Revolution as the B side of my sister's Hey Jude single on our family record player over and over, being seduced by the raw sound and pure vibe and intensity. Those sounds are still yet to be bettered. It's kind of a technically crap recording but perfect for the sentiment of the song. It's not hi-fi at all and it's what makes the song so wonderful.
