I find that the magnification can help with spotting bad solder joints. On my most recent build I noticed that a few of the joints looked great, but then with magnification they definitely looked cold, so I reflowed them.

Those double stops do look tricky! I will definitely try to attempt that first lick later today. Looks like it would be good double stop, bending, and sliding practice lick. Also it's a Tim Pierce video! He's one of my favorite guitar youtubers.

If you have to have an epi es 335.

Just try to get a deal on the es 335 traditional pro at guitar center. I played one and it sounds good and plays well. It goes on sale for 450 sometimes. And it also has some cool color choices.

You might have a better chance of success if you build a somewhat simpler circuit. Won't have to worry about so many components that you have to keep track of.
