DEMO ADHD V2 Super Mario World Fuzzy

Here is a demo and build report of the PedalPCB.com ADHD v.2 on an early board. This was built some time in 2019 and painted in 2020 and at this rate I should have every demo and build report done by 3001....

Pretty easy build, used my normal testors paint for the lettering and artwork and the build is really straight forward.

Now I would really like to talk about the video, I was really hesitant to put it out. It was originally planned to be released to the wild on October 23rd but I do not think the quality is there. This was filmed in June or July and I was working on getting things to look and sound better and this was the last "test footage" filmed. It is a bit janky and the audio quality during the build report could be better and the playing is kind of ehhh and I could go on and on......

That being said, this whole hobby is a work in progress for me and I think it is going to be a nice stepping stone for next weeks video.

Picture-in-picture for the knob settings is perfect, and I really like the POV setup at the bench.

It is going to be the main focus of the build report section, the artwork and the design idea. The guts are the same as every other builder and unless something really tripped me up or went awry, there isn’t much for me to add.

I miss watching your build report demos!

I have always felt a bit of imposter syndrome with making videos. Who am I to talk about pedals? Who I am to upload more guitar based content? What do I really have to offer? This was one of the reason my shut down lasted so long. Wrestling with what a build report should be and how much playing should there be? how much can I even talk circuits, when I have such a limited knowledge base.

I let myself go on a thought spiral until realizing I can only do one thing, be me.

Then realizing what I love about pedals and guitar playing is how they inspire me and how much making music and improvising are a form of therapy for me. Thats what dkpedals videos will be; talking about the art, the design, the sounds and having fun. Making stupid jokes and having story time and showing how little I really know about electronics.

I saw a video that was titled “A therapist reacts to Alice in Chains Nutshell unplugged”.

Maybe it’s great content, maybe they have a unique perspective into the human condition that I do not, maybe it would be eye opening…

But then I thought, “why not just go watch the best unplugged performance ever, instead of this?”

Which lead to “maybe people like reaction videos and this would lead them to discovering AiC, which is good.”

Trying to see things from all sides, I understand why those kinds of clickbaity videos get made and why people watch them. They are not for me and I will not be making content like that. Ever.

I am hardly an expert but the idea of passing on my knowledge or experience and maybe getting someone into pedals or diy or whatever brings me a lot of happiness.

On another note, no more babies for this dude, snippy snippy a few years ago. I am a one and done parent, which is perfect.

Thank you for the kind words, as I muddle through this diy video thing, it is really great having all of you in my corner!
