I try to avoid any sort of shady marketing schemes... I'm not one to send out mass marketing emails or ask you to sign up for a "Monthly Newsletter" where I pretend to pass along interesting information littered with advertisements... no one wants that garbage.

Reward points though, well, I've never really minded getting those all that much and they can be ignored if you don't want to bother.

It depends on the plugin used but the ones I've seen typically accumulate points for each order that can be redeemed in certain amounts for gift card balances or specific items. (eg: 500 points = $10, 1000 points = 14 grams ProtoBoard, etc)

Some also give rewards for social media likes/follows/reposts, reviews, demos, etc...

I'll have to "audition" a few different plugins and see which ones fit the best with the current configuration, it's a bit like a rube goldberg contraption trying to get everything to work together nicely.

My "grocery store" has a trip to Cancun for the max prize. A few people have won it but that too much herbal...even for me! I just cash in for free concentrates produce when the points get piled up.
I love this idea, even if I only build a few, select pedals a year!

What if points are retroactive, and points can also be used to bump wishlist requests to the top of the queue? — perhaps 100 points to expedite the layout and release of ring mod boards, 500 to expedite a YATS, 1500 to expedite the JHS flavour of the month

I don't think points for posting is a good idea. I'm spamming on contributing to the forum too often as it is. Nobody wants more of my crappola where I pretend to know what I'm talking about; and what if people take things out of context? — You said so yourself...
