Another raucous build from DMI. This is based off the Boss XT-2 but can be modded to adjust the EQ for a maxed-out HM-2 with adjustable mids.

It gets pretty close to the EQ curve of the HM-2 which I'm a fan of.

Gets pretty nasty. Had a lot of fun building and blasting out my neighbors. Something a bit different.

Not a bad layout. It's not a PPCB ala Robert but it's not bad.

My only complaint is if I do it again, I think I would not add the clipping switches. They just don't really seem to add much.

Otherwise, great stuff.

Cool demo I grabbed from the site:

Turned out lovely :) Thank you for turning me onto this and the HMT2.

I have a GCI HM-1 PCB (DS-1 with HM2 tone stack)…. It might be cool to do a little HM2 series in BB2 format. I had a shower thought the other day that Meathead into HM2 tone stack might be amazing too.

That looks awersum!

Graphic reminds me of the cracks in the dry-lake beds at Bonneville or Mirage. This pedal seems to set a land-speed record to tone!

Thanks dude. I just got a couple of these HM-2 EQ boards I'm excited at experimenting with https://www.hm2cult.com/product/epitaph-eq-pcb

I'm also curious about the GCI HM1. Looks interesting.

I can confirm Super Fuzz into HM2 EQ is like touching god. I’m almost embarrassed to admit this, because almost all my pedals are built by me, but my #1 favorite fuzz, #1 favorite pedal even, is Pepers’ Pedals Humongous Fuzz. It’s an FZ2 with the Behringer “in-between” mode and a knob called “Extra” which is the HM2 EQ. It just sounds huge, humongous I guess lol. It’s the closest I’ve been to Monolord fuzz quality (peak fuzz imo haha). I also bought his HM2 take the Humongous Distortion. But yeah with that “Extra” knob, it puts all the Super Fuzz’s I’ve built to shame.

have you tried the hm-3 hyper fuzz? Monolord used them. I bought a used one cheap and it does the monolord sound spot on.
