Software/Firmware Updates

We've just published version 2.6.6 which includes an update to the main Meter tuner to help the visual part of tuning feel more stable.

Version 2.6.7 is now available:
  • Fixes the shaded in tune range on the Meter tuner to match the new adjustment made in v2.6.6

Version 2.8.2

Version 2.8.2 has all the features of 2.7.0 and more!

Now available at https://www.q-tune.com/install

New Features
  • Orbital Tuner - An experimental tuner and far out experience where a comet travels in an orbit around your note. When flat, the orbit stretches and gets wider and the comet travels counter clockwise. If sharp, the orbit squeezes tighter and the comet travels clockwise. When you're in tune, the orbit is a perfect circle and the comet comes to a stop.
Bug Fixes
  • Freeze prevention - In some rare cases, there were situations where the entire pedal would freeze. We discovered a couple places where the code was causing deadlock in the graphics library and we've fixed that up.

Version 2.7.0

This one was short-lived for about a day and has now been replaced with Version 2.8.2.

New Features
  • Needle Tuner - A throwback tuner style reminiscent of those small, thin tuners with an LCD screen. Change away from the default main color and the Needle tuner adapts to your color choice with a black background. The needle moves linearly for a precise tuning experience.
Improvements
  • More stable and accurate pitch detection - We noticed that occasionally (more often than we'd like) that the tuner was showing wrong notes when you'd pick a string. We've tracked that issue down and tuning should be significantly better and more stable. Please let us know what your experience is after installing the update.
Bug Fixes
  • Mute indicator disappearing after settings - On the Meter tuner, the monitoring mode MUTE indicator would not reappear after exiting the Settings screen until you cycled through bypass mode. Fixed.

If there's a feature, tuner UI, or standby screen you'd love to see in Q-Tune, please let us know. While we can't promise that we'd build it, we're always looking for something that will make your tuning experience better, more fun, and enjoyable.

Thank you for your continued support of Q-Tune!
