Bring out yer Diptrace

Cool idea. This is something I miss most in the build documents. The switches don't have their positions labeled. It would be nice to have something like this in the PPCB build docs. @Robert - is there a chance to add switch position markings (position names, preset names, etc) in the schematics?

Do you just not like kicad? I ask because I’ve been messing around with kicad trying to transistion from the basic version of diptrace and for the life of me other than it being free I don’t see what is in anyway better.

My workflow and process is centered around my proficiency in DipTrace.

I don’t see any reason to switch.

Totally with you @Big Monk , no need to learn a new workflow if there's no reason.

That said, if you are cranking out designs and want build docs.. KiCad is soooo much better for automation.

Totally understand. I just needed more pins and not any different set of features.

I’m finally tackling the H&K Rotosphere in hopes of beating everyone to market on a clone.

But even with a stacked board, one of the schematics would have exceeded 500 pins.

Shit, the delay section alone exceeded 500 pins!

I wonder how the PCB size could be reduced if we switched to SMD. The only remaining issue is the tube. Keep it? Replace it with a JFET? Or maybe miniature tube?

I plan on keeping it TH but losing the tube and cleaning up the power supply alone reduces the size drastically and should make it less noisy. simplifying the switching setup and cleaning up the various zener based regulation should also simplify things.
