My advice, google "how to solder video", you'll get a plethora of returns. Watch several and practice getting perfect joints on some tag board with a handful of resistors. When you can get perfect joints go back and fix all the cold solder joints on your board.

I generally only put in two of the screws anyway.

My friend you need to work on your soldering skills, I looked for a joint that would demonstrate how they should look and didn't see one. Not trying to be mean, seriously trying to help!
