    JHS Kilt v2 clone

I dropped it on the Wish List a while back, but there didn’t seem to be much interest. To quote one forum member: “I thought the kilt was stupid when JHS released it and it hasn't aged well since” 🤣

Replacing "Six Pads" Jacks with "Two Pads" Jacks On a PCB...

It’s hard to tell the orientation of the PCB from the photo, but those are TRS switched jacks. The “switched” part means they have an extra contact that is connected whenever a plug is not inserted. Sometimes folks use this to make/break a ground connection to shut off power when a plug is...

    Dung Beetle

My second build in a row that I’ve boxed before I rocked and regretted it. It sounded ok, but volume wasn’t near unity even dimed and some of the controls didn’t seem to do much. Disassembled and started verifying everything. I had swapped the Volume and Fuzz pots. I saw a build report recently...

where to go from here? (drive pedal blues)

Are you interested in synth-y tones? There’s a good bit of ground to cover there. Maybe a https://www.pedalpcb.com/product/captainbit/?

What's your favorite "Swiss Army Knife" dirt pedal

You know what, that’s a really good point. You can cover a lot of ground with an ODR-C as well.

What's your favorite "Swiss Army Knife" dirt pedal

Alternately I’m a big fan of the Barber Gain Changer. https://www.pedalpcb.com/product/sliver/ is similar. You could probably figure out how to mod it with the flat/fat and low/high gain switches from the schematic posted on Barber’s site: http://www.barberelectronics.com/gainchanger.html

What's your favorite "Swiss Army Knife" dirt pedal

Perhaps an Omni-drive? https://www.pedalpcb.com/product/infinidrive/ Although I believe these have been out of stock for several years. Any plans for a new batch @Robert ?

    Creamery Compressor

Yep, same here. Starts to get noisy around noon. By that point I found myself backing the master volume off so it wasn’t too noticeable. You’re also getting quite a bit of compression by then. I might swap out the “W” taper pot with a logarithmic one.

    Creamery Compressor

This is my third PPCB compressor build, after a Boneyard Delegate and Thumbsucker. They’re all great, but I find this one particularly easy to dial in. I plan to use it on my bass board. I can’t recall if it had already been mentioned here, but it is a little tough to see the orientation of...

    Sproing Deluxe Volume Boost?

I’m getting a pretty significant volume boost on the clean signal when the reverb side of my Sproing Deluxe is engaged (even with the reverb turned all the way down). Is that expected? Obviously the tremolo section has a dedicated gain control. Not sure if there’s something similar I can tweak...

someone who have build DEFLECTOR Reverb?

Correct. For this pedal the dry signal is always present. It varies from pedal to pedal. If you’re looking for a reverb that you can run 100% wet, check out the Spatialist .

    Deflector Reverb

It really does! Ah ok that makes sense. I’m going to have to play with this one some more. 👍 Thanks!

    Deflector won't Deflect......

Dumb question, but do you have dust caps on the pots behind the board or some other way of insulating them? You could have a short to ground in the effected sound path.

    Deflector Reverb

First of all, huge thanks to the PPCB crew for making something like this possible as a DIY project! I took one listen and promptly stuck Velcro on the back of it. The artwork background is a stock image. My printer crapped out while printing the waterslide decal, resulting in lots of...

    Moonshot Tremolo issue

Assuming you’ve already done a visual inspection, the next thing I’d suggest is tracing the circuit and checking component values and continuity. R.G. Keen recommends printing out the schematic for this, and that has helped me immensely. Like @BuddytheReow said, some folks here are great at...

Help me decide which compressor to build…

I highly recommend the thumb sucker. It’s a great all-around compressor and an easy build. Plus you don’t have to futz around with LDRs. I’ve tried three different LDRs in my delegate, and I’m still not positive if it isn’t working right or I just don’t know how to dial it in. YMMV, but it’s...
