My second build in a row that I’ve boxed before I rocked and regretted it. It sounded ok, but volume wasn’t near unity even dimed and some of the controls didn’t seem to do much.

Disassembled and started verifying everything. I had swapped the Volume and Fuzz pots. I saw a build report recently (sorry, can’t remember who!) where they wrote the pot values on the back. I’m going to start doing that as well.

Everything is happy now, and I see why everyone loves this fuzz. It even does the gated thing surprisingly well and doesn’t mind being after a buffer. It did sound a bit sterile through my headphone setup last night, but I’m excited to try it out through the tube amp today.

Overall a really great build. Lots of versatility in a low component count board. The only part I didn’t have offhand was a 750r resistor, so I used two 1k5s in parallel. I even had space to use one of the giant 100u caps that I accidentally ordered a while back. Highly recommended.

I had to pull mine out and play with it again. It's an amazingly versatile fuzz. Lots of things you can do with it. Really like it which is why it remains on my shelf of fuzz pedals.

Great build! Really nice design too! :D
