    SOLVED MBP Collosalus Smoking

And now we're flanging!!!! Man, great eye and thank you so much for taking a look. Getting old and worsening eyesight sucks. Glad I didn't fry the whole board.

    SOLVED MBP Collosalus Smoking

Just built the Collosalus and was stoked to fire it up since I've always loved the MXR 117.......and it literally "fired" on up. As soon as I engaged the pedal, I was only getting clean signal. Started to mess with the trim pots and smoke started coming up from the 22R resistor. Thought it was...

    Two Tone Fuzz Toggle Settings

I have that board and pedal already built out. I'll check in a few hrs when I get to my studio after work and give the pedal a run through. I'll have an answer for you either way

Combo Pedals - Do I just chain the output to the input of the second one?

I saved this image of someone's build when I first started to help me with the break out boards.

Harmonic Percolator - Suggestions On Choosing A Version?

This is the MBP Pepper Spray. Easiest mod you could possibly do, swapping trim pot for potentiometer. Sounds incredible, I love this pedal till no end.

Harmonic Percolator - Suggestions On Choosing A Version?

Dude, just go to MBP and check out the pdf for the Pepper Spray........the schematic is all there. I sub'ed the trim pot for a potentiometer and that was the best decision I ever made for any circuit.

Harmonic Percolator - Suggestions On Choosing A Version?

Man, the HP is hands down my favorite circuit and it's crazy how simple it is. Semi clean boost, nice light distortion for finger picking, smooth overdrive, heavy distortion, fuzz. It literally does it all. MBP's Pepper Spray I think it's called has been my favorite for sure. Unfortunately the...

    Persica Mystery

Right on, I'll take a look next time I'm back at my studio. Part of me doesn't want to fix this because it sounds great, the other part of me wants to have the circuit function 100%

    Persica Mystery

I out together the Persica tonight and I'm having some ultra bizarre issues. Plugged it in and the Volume/Fuzz pots both only controlled volume level, zero fuzz. The Tone pot worked as normal. I thought I might have an IC problem, so I removed the TL022 first and bam! Fuzz! But the Fuzz dial is...

    Missing Build Docs / Schematics

Thanks Barry, saved that for a remake I'll do in the future. I drilled the enclosure this morning for the Synopsis and Scenario for a 2-in-1. I eyeballed the 2nd lower toggle for the Synopsis and nailed it spot on. I just double printed the drill guide for the Scenario and used that. Ironically...

DIY or cheap onboard buffer opinions?

Yeah 100% not interested one of those, just always curious about how everything works. Noticed they "gooped" the hell out of their gear

DIY or cheap onboard buffer opinions?

https://www.premierguitar.com/news/introducing-black-ice-boost An article just came out about a passive boost and overdrive/distortion. Can someone explain to me how you can have a passive boost/overdrive?

Charge Pump Noise - Pedal Order Dependent

"The on-board oscillator operates at a nominal frequency of 10kHz. Frequency is increased to 45kHz when pin 1 is connected to V+. Operation below 10kHz (for lower supply current applications) is possible by connecting an external capacitor from OSC to ground (with pin 1 open)." Quote taken...

    Skeptical buffer, no electrolytics?

I'm glad I was able to build the SB through PPCB. I've used similar circuits from Aion/GPCB, with carrying degrees of success. The SB works great in my signal chain because there is little to no noise, compared to other circuits I've used in the same vein. The Euna is not at all a 100% Eunique...

    Aion Meridian (Bass version)

Love the graphics, that turned out great! I built this for guitar and I absolutely love it. Being able to select between even/odd harmonics for my guitar solos makes this pedal a ton of fun to use. Permanent fixture on my board for sure! I might have to build another for bass....
