Zen Drive / Mahayana Drive (PCB203) and Ultraphonix / Phoenix Ultra (PCB275)

Thanks. Yep, just a set of stamps with hammer and anvil I found at a craft store.

Zen Drive / Mahayana Drive (PCB203) and Ultraphonix / Phoenix Ultra (PCB275)

I got these PCBs a little while back not realizing how similar they are. I had heard the Zendrive was great, and I had tried an Ultraphonix that I liked, so I wanted to try both. Maybe someone a little more knowledgeable can chime in, but it seems like the Ultraphonix is a pretty blatant...

I want to Build the Cobalt Drive but cant find a A250K Dual Pot

Also can sub an A100K with a couple other substitutions. See https://forum.pedalpcb.com/threads/this-week-on-the-breadboard-blues-driver-bd-2-bd-2w-part-4.7544/

    Kliché Mini / Klon Centaur / PCB099 x3

Built three Kliché Minis and I like how they turned out. Got the polished enclosures from Small Bear. I finished them and boxed them up with standard footswitches before realizing… damn I gotta get gold footswitches on these things! Didn’t even try desoldering the footswitch PCBs off of the...

how can i get more volume from my blue breaker?

I’d also recommend the Wampler Pantheon / PedalPCB Parthenon. Boosted output and more controls.

    Awful Waffle / Crowther Hotcake / PCB151

Gotcha, I’ll bring it in to work and try it out on an AC30. Thanks!

    Awful Waffle / Crowther Hotcake / PCB151

It’s a bit hit or miss - I’ve found that for some reason the blue and purple ones don’t chip as much. The hammer, anvil, and stamps I bought at a craft store. They’re meant for jewelry.

    Cobalt Drive / Boss BD-2 Blues Driver / PCB078

I’m pretty sure I got them from small bear. Looks like they don’t have them exactly, but they do have the knurled version here: https://smallbear-electronics.mybigcommerce.com/knurled-colored-caps/

    Awful Waffle / Crowther Hotcake / PCB151

Actually it’s metal stamps, with a hammer and anvil.

    Awful Waffle / Crowther Hotcake / PCB151

Thanks, seen a couple people doing something similar. It’s borne out of laziness. Half the time I’ll stamp the powder coat and it will chip, so when that happens I just sand down the whole top.

I did actually! Didn’t really know what I was looking at…

    Cobalt Drive / Boss BD-2 Blues Driver / PCB078

Had a request from a friend visiting from overseas to build a her a Blues Driver before going back home. Thanks to PedalPCB, Tayda, Small Bear, and the good ol’ USPS, I got all the parts and built it in under two weeks! Luckily finished it the day before her flight. It sounds great. I was able...

    Awful Waffle / Crowther Hotcake / PCB151

I was interested in this pedal because one of my favorite guitarists, Jeff Parker, uses it as his main drive pedal. It was a quick and easy build. Can’t say I’m too stoked on it though - when sustaining notes it kind of fizzles out, and when the drive is up high, it loses a lot of high end...

    CDXL Reissue / DOD 440 Reissue / PCB282

Built this a year ago or so and it had some funky noise problems. Just recently went back and reflowed some suspect solder joints and also realized that one of the pots was probably bad. Not sure if I overheated it or what. Replaced the pot and now it sounds great!

This Week on the Breadboard: Blues Driver BD-2 & BD-2w - part 4

I also meant A100k! I’m all mixed up. Trying to put the kids to bed and plan out pedals at the same time.

This Week on the Breadboard: Blues Driver BD-2 & BD-2w - part 4

Hey Chuck. In a pinch here and I thought I’d ask - I’m using a dual gang b100k and subbing the resistors and caps, but I don’t have a 620p. I do have 680 and 560. Any opinion on whether it will matter, and if one of those is preferable? Thanks!

Caesar Chorus / Walrus Audio Julia PCB359

Metal stamp set with hammer and anvil, then filled in with a paint pen. Bit risky because it sometimes just chips away powder coating - if that happens I usually just sand off the top! Seems like only blue enclosures don't chip..

Caesar Chorus / Walrus Audio Julia PCB359

Built this one a few weeks ago but it didn’t work - there’s was no modulation going on, and the LED wasn’t pulsing either. I could kind of hear some modulation when moving the knobs around. So last night I went back and reflowed some subpar solder joints - and now it works! One other note - I...
