    D3lay not affected

You can also access the programs built into the FV-1 by grounding pin13. you can do this by slidering a wire onto whichever side of R5 connects to pin13 and grounding that wire. This would get you the patches 0, 1, and 2 listed here (depending on toggle switch position).

    D3lay not affected

I would use an audio probe to check for signal at the fav-1 input pin (pin1, top left) and output (28, top right).

opinions for a pedal build for dobro player

The LPB-1 input impedance is quite low (43k). Idk what the pickup is exactly or what impedance it wants to see, but LPB-1 seems risky.

opinions for a pedal build for dobro player

I feel like boosts fall into a few categories. -just louder - usually I go op amp, maybe a bit sterile but great if you already like your tone. -tone changer/enhancer. EP style are popular, like secret preamp. The EP ones Usually sounds a bit thicker. These tend to get talked about in...

opinions for a pedal build for dobro player

Gain and volume knobs would do the same thing, unless there’s distortion. Does he want it to distort?

DEMO Star Wars Theme 6-Loop / Midi Switcher + Midi expander

I really thought this was gonna be an audio looper that just plays the "Star Wars Theme" song. But this is cool too... Just kidding, awesome job, that's really inspiring!

    Tap Tempo Delay for Terrarium

I'm sure others have made a tap tempo delay, but I didn't find anything posted that's ready to go with Terrarium. I included as many features as I could fit on the controls : dotted 1/8, filters, modulation, and reverb. I think it sounds really good, and it's quite simple. I also posted the...

Nice one. How would you compare and contrast with the RS?

    Terrarium Build Report

Woah cool. And thanks, i had Tayda cut the opening. Way oversized from what I need because I just guessed at it

Am I understanding RC filters correctly?

It blocks DC and works as a high-pass, your right on. Conveniently, the math for low-pass and high-pass cutoff frequency is the same. I have a phone app called EE Calculator that makes checking RC filters and parallel resistors pretty quick.

    What to do now?

I'd say read the electro-smash tube screamer article. Then read it a few more times. Study the pedalpcb Stockade circuit, and see how those features line up with the electrosmash article. Build or breadboard a tubescreamer and mess with some of the component values. The Tube Screamer isn't...

    PPCB Raincoat

The key difference (besides the clipping diodes) is replacing the Big Muff tone stack with a simple hi-cut tone control. The Big Muff tone stack is the perpetrator in the case of the missing mids. (Check out the "tsc-in-the-web" site, big muff tab). So naturally the Rain Coat has less of that...

    Terrarium Build Report

I checked back through some family Christmas list emails and saw I requested and received a Daisy Seed Rev4 for Christmas 2020. I should not have waited 5+ years, this has been great. I kept putting off the Daisy because I was busy working with the FV-1, and I plan to continue using it when...

    Terrarium Input Low-Pass Filter

I've noticed some high frequency cut on my recent Terrarium build. I believe it is due to C7 (1nF), when used without a buffer before it. It looks like C7 acts with the guitar pickup to create a low-pass filter. Using a buffer before the Terrarium eliminates the high-cut. I'm aware of the...

    Synchrony Pedalworks- Daphne Blue

Very nice. Where did you get the light blue hammer enclosure?

    Caline Power Supply Schematic Trace

I'm working on a project ingetrating 2 FV-1 based pcbs in a single enclosure. This is for a someone in a studio application so I'm trying to make sure the noise floor is minimal. I'm considering these options: --18V IN, 7809 regulators (the big ones) with appropriate capacitors. --9V IN, use...

Xotic EP Booster...gain control does nothing

Maybe try connecting the - side of the 10uF cap to gnd, to see if you get a lot of gain that way. (It would simulate max gain knob). Then you can start to pinpoint if it’s a problem with the pot or wiring, or something in the circuit

    FV-1 Detuned Chorus (Pythagorus pcb)

Jcpst, I’ve got parts coming for the terrarium and that octave you posted about (by Steve Schulteis) will be one of my first things to try. I liked your points, especially about latency, hadn’t quite thought of it like that. The main issue with fv-1 pitch shift quality, as I understand it...

    FV-1 Detuned Chorus (Pythagorus pcb)

No, it's a small pitch shift (detune), not transpose or octave. You've already messaged me a couple times asking for custom octave code, and I sent some code over. At that point it seemed like you wanted me to spend a lot of time writing code for you, and I don't think the FV-1 can do what you...
