Here is my first compressor build. I saw the Wampler demo-ed on That Pedal Show last year and decided to build this. I have only recently began to utilize a compressor. I have a Xotic SP that I started fiddling with more so this, with more knobs, seemed like the next step.

Before I do this I just want to make sure I am not missing something. I used all capacitors that are well over 18v so I am safe to try my Median build at 18v, yes? Also, what result would you expect in a compressor at 18v vs 9v?

Either I or Tayda screwed up and I now have 10 1 watt 470k resistors instead of 1/4 watt. They are obviously much bigger. Assuming I might have a project that these will actually fit into, is there any problem with using them in place of a 1/4 watt resistor? I'll bet it was me that screwed up, btw

The build doc has notes about the parameters for the transistors. Are the 2N5457 ones sold at PedalPCB fit those parameters? And D1 & D2 are BAT43 which Tayda is currently out of. Are there other diodes that would be an acceptable substitute?
