PedalPCB Shrapnel overdrive, MBP Misfit, MBP Pastyface and AionFx Wyvern Silicon Overdrive

Here are a handful of pedals from the last couple of months, but delayed in posting. I hope it is acceptable to place them in one post. I have really liked the Thorpy products, especially the V1 series. With that in mind, I wanted to add the Shrapnel overdrive. Compared to the V1 pedals, it...

    Silicon Tonebenders?

I have looked through the vast PPCB catalog, trying to identify any silicon Tonebenders and tonebender variants. However, I have not had much luck. Does anyone have any good silicon tonebender variants to suggest? Thanks!

    Sandblaster fuzz

This is a really nice fuzz pedal. The bias control with the trimpots is fantastic. I got all the fancy transistors from Small Bear. The enclosure is from @steviejr92. The pictures do not do the powder coating justice. The powder coating is complex with flecks of silver and copper. The video is...

    Kewpie Fuzz

I know that there has been a lot of praise for this muff, and I would totally agree. I knew it was a “must build” when I read @Robert said it was the best muff and after seeing this video (). If you need a rip, roaring Muff, this is the one…

    Madbean Harbinger Two

I have not seen many reports on this circuit, so I thought I would share. This circuit was a lot of fun. I found a non-functional Vox wah to use for the shell. I was going to reclaim the wah pot too, but it was the piece broken in the circuit. The circuit is straight forward, but pay attention...

    Karaoke Chorus

I really like this chorus. It is based on the Boss CE-1. To me, it is smoother than a CE-2. The vibrato is a nice touch. Recently, I have made a few vibe like pedals (Altered State and Viib), but I think I like this vibe best. My one wish is for the vibe rate to go slower. If you all know of any...

    Gerkin Fuzz

Great fuzz! It is fairly straightforward and sounds great. That being said, I still prefer my bayonet fuzz. The art was done with AI, but I liked amalgamation of pie and a circuit.

    GuitarPCB paradox and buffer

I am making the GuitarPCB Paramix. Does anyone know if it is buffered? Thanks! https://guitarpcb.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/BD_ParaMix.pdf

    CCE King of Nothing 👑

Great pedal! It has a really nice tone. The range of the gain is perfect. I did not find any significant difficulties with this build. C3 and C4 are socketed to experiment, using some advice from @music6000. Right now, I have it made as the instructions. Enjoy!

    Acetylene Overdrive

I am perpetually searching for the Vox in a box sound. I should bite the bullet and build the amp, but I really don't have the room to accommodate another amp. However, pedals are so much easier to hide from the wife... I have built the Victory Copper clone and the Catalinbread Galileo. I...

    Lectric fx Altered State Phaser

I know that @Fingolfen and @DGWVI both posted some great reports, so I won't duplicate their information. However, I will share my trials with this pedal, and hopefully, it will help others (if they make the same mistakes).... This pedal was more difficult that others. Some of the issues were...

Lectric FX Altered Phaser extra cap question

Lectric FX Altered Phaser’s build docs have 3 100n caps to include for “extra filtering.” How will this alter the sound? The caps are not found on the schematic. Thanks!

    Schu-Tone DM-3

If I could insert a “slow clap,” I would. This delay is fabulous. It is a great project to get used to a dual stacked circuit. The only parts that need attention to height are the 10 uF electrolytic caps on the 1st board. Fortunately, most 10 uF (16v) electrolytic caps will be small enough to...

FYI-Tayda matte vs gloss clear coat

I haven’t seen any build reports for either the matte or gloss clear coats. Here is a nice comparison I wished I had done matte gloss finish on the matte pedal, but it does look good. However, I prefer the gloss finish. The matte finish is on the left and gloss on the right.

    Hyped Fuzz

This a non-traditional fuzz (in my opinion). I find it similar to the Fairfield Circuitry Unpleasant Surprise (PPCB Desolate fuzz). However, this pedal can be tamed. It has a lot of gain on tap and I like the ability to boost or cut the treble and bass. I made a mistake with my art. I flipped...

SOLVED Viib LFO noise and power on question

    1. When I place a boost or OD in front of the VIIB, I get a whine similar to the LFO. Any suggestions on where to look first for the problem? Otherwise, the pedal functions well and without the whine. The problem is only when gain is added. 2. I want to use my switcher with the pedal, but...

Conspiracy to Commit Electronics- Particle Accelerator and Diplomat

Wow! These are surprising pedals. Both add a nice boost, warmth and compression to the tone. The PA has more ability to sculpt the toan, but seems to have less gain. The Diplomat adds a nice boost that is perfect for driving the amp to breakup. Of the two, I may prefer the Diplomat. The color...

    Daisy Seed/Terrarium

A while back, I wanted to enter the digital age and got the Terrarium board. Reading about @keyth72 ‘s work with Cloudseed and Neuralseed had me interested. The pedal is really easy to build. I had some hiccups with the flashing of the files. First, my Surface Book (which has a different...

    Cpp file to bin file

I finally got the terrarium up and running. I was able to flash the great codes from @keyth72. I was looking at some of the other programs, like the multi-tap delay, but confused about how to flash the files. In @keyth72 ‘s GitHub, there is a bin file that I downloaded and flashed. For the...

    DEMO Desolate Fuzz

This is a wild pedal. I can see it being used by Jack White. It can be unruly and hard to tame, but glorious. When using the “crush” toggle, I think there is a tinge of an octave fuzz. It is an untraditional fuzz, but I really like it.
