10p capacitor for VHS build.

Hello all,

I have a VHS that I am building. I do not have a 15p capacitor for the crystal. I have a 10p, would this work? I’ve not built anything with crystals yet and want to make sure I don’t mess it up.

Give it a shot.
It's there to address a startup problem that may happen with some crystals, per the datasheet.
See if you can find one in your stash that measures over 10pf.
Note, a lot of cheaper lcr meters struggle with values this low. Measure a larger cap(100-200pf) then measure your 10pf cap in parallel, subtracting the first measurement.

I didn’t think to measure with another cap. It measures 16pf so I guess I’m in luck!
