9V battery enclosure etching

Hello everyone,

I just tested this. It's a simple method to etching with 9V battery and salt water (or vinegar)

I use a paint marker (oil based see pic) to do that. Here my test and i do it on my tube screamer.

I have try only with water, no precise mixture, i added as salt as the video (a little less)

that would probably not work since the paint is an insulator from electric current. you could take a powder coated enclosure and sand most of the paint off of the top of it if you wanted to give it a try.

Did you only use a single 9V, from the pic that's what it looked like. The youtube demo had 2 in series. I wonder what the difference would be, maybe faster etching?

Hi, i have test with 18v power supply too, not huge difference. More fast but no more depth.
Seems that's the intensity can make visible changes.
