Here is my build for the Abyss. Very cool vibe type circuit. It's definitely not the traditional type. Gives me some inspiration to make some sounds I wouldn't normally make. I'm not usually doing much experimenting but pedals like these and some of my previous modulations pedals are getting the creative juices flowing.
Build this with all 1/4w transistors stood up. Just because I just don't stock any 1/8w. Everything fit fine. A little tight but no issues. I used GL5528 for the LDRs. Specs are pretty close to the ones listed on the BOM. I don't think I've ever played the original so I don't how it compares. Sounds good to me!
The enclosure came out crappy imo. I really like the color and the decal design and the knobs. It just came out crappy due to the base coat not going on smoothly then the decal not sticking properly. I try not to bitch since it's what I have work with.
The wiring I'm much more proud of. Came out clean and tidy on the inside.
Good stuff overall.
