Acrylic Overdrive - no sound when gain all the way down

Hi team,

New to this world and loving it - four pedals in (five if you count the utter disaster that is still a audio-score nightmare).

I wanted to check whether both the gain and volume knobs of the acrylic overdrive are intended to completely mute the pedal when either are zero'd out or whether I have wired something akimbo. Thanks!

Volume yes. Pin 1 goes directly to ground and will stop all outgoing signal when fully counterclockwise . The gain knob will get close, but not quite
