Aion FX IVP Preamp

Here’s my IVP. Turned out nice, I’m digging it. It’s got a clean channel and a “tube” channel. The clean channel is pretty clean, not much to speak of. The tube channel is nice, it can go from a light responsive overdrive to fully saturated and gnarly. I think both channels can really shine with the parametric EQ though. Lots of possibilities there. Now I have to get good at dialing in a parametric eq .

I use an HX Stomp for amp sounds, so I built this with the idea that use it as my amp and save on DSP in the stomp. I think it definitely has the potential, but I need to play with it a bit more to be sure. Also I’d be happy to record a quick sample if there’s interest.

I’m a procrastinator at my core and so this is what I’ve been doing the past couple weeks instead of working on my entry for Chuck’s Bug Muff contest .

That doesn’t look like procrastination— I think I’ve got you beat, there, as my IVP is still a bare PCB and my muff-mod I only started breadboarding last night… just the main caps thus far.

Thanks, just wanted to show the basic sound. Didn’t even touch the parametric eq. Also for anyone building this, I couldn’t find the recommended DC converter at a reasonable price (I think I found it somewhere for $60!).
