This one is based off the Ibanez SM-9 Super Metal from the magical 80's. With a couple additions which allows for a bit of fine-tuning. It's a cool amp-like distortion pedal. Sounds pretty good. May be just a hair fizzy in some settings. Fun and easy build. Only small issue is the BOM recommends a 1590BBM but I used a 1590BB2 which is 4mm shorter so I had to compensate a little bit with some caps. Mostly on the breakout board. But it all worked out.
Not much more to note about the pedal. One thing to note (and the main reason I'm posting) is that this is my 200th (successful) build. (121 have been PPCB). So this is something I'm proud of. There will likely be a time where I just get burned out and will have built everything on my list, but for now, I'm still really enjoying putting together some incredible circuits and working in this DIY community.
