Built mostly to the doc (Turbo spec), with the changes being -
Boxed in a Bud CU452 with Brutalist knobs
With my standard caveman Telemaster -
With the Meteora I built it for, tuned down to drop F
Both vids through a Twin-ish sim with a Mesa 4x12 open back cab IR, mic'd with a 57 and a 160
Sad to see the Meteora go, but I need to buy a car, and it's going to an awesome person that will appreciate the hours that went into building it, and the scars it's acquired since.
Really digging the TL070 and 80 in the Rat lately - it keeps most of its voice, but adds quite a bit of dynamic range and clarity. It does lose the typical fuzzy quality, but it can bring more of the metalz now.
Also, I love these Dirt Monger boards (all of em, really- they've all been great to build with), and can't recommend em enough for lovers of the vermin
- Opamp swapped to TL070
- Comp cap is 39p
- High pole cap is 2.7u
- Low pole resistor is 470r
- Clippers are square red LEDs
- Tone pot is decreased to 50kA, resistor preceding it increased to 2.7k, cap decreased to 2.7n
- Distortion pot is 100kD, with a 470r between lug 1 and the chip
- Jfets are J113 cuz I have a ton of em
