Any new concerts you're looking forward to (formerly 2023 concerts)

The Chameleons are one of my favorite bands to ever exist (and one of only two music-related tattoos I have). I see them every time they roll through. My recollection was balking at the ticket prices when they went onsale in June, but thanks to an AXS text alert over the weekend I guess past me forked over the $93 (!) at the time and the since-laid-off present me is grateful and stoked. Heading to the Crocodile Friday evening ☺️

Something tells me @Bricksnbeatles will be interested in this one:
I was just reading about that one, and absolutely losing my shit. There is absolutely no way I’ll miss this. Not seeing rush live before Neil died is one of my biggest regrets. Not gonna let this go by without seeing Geddy and Alex.

100% same here on all accounts. Forever regretting missing their Seattle show in 2015. What a horrible time for me to not have steady income right now, tho, lol. Here's to hoping both a Seattle gig and my future employment are announced after the inevitable success of these initial shows 🤞🏻 🤞🏻

Went to see Spirit Possession a couple weeks ago. They were supporting Black Curse, who I'd never heard/of, but my 17yo bullied me into going. Spirit Possession did not disappoint, and Black Curse was incredible. I spent their whole set thinking, this is the most metal thing I've witnessed in forever.

My sister’s fiancé got my parents and I into the Gary Numan / Psychedelic Furs show tonight (he’s one of the production heads at the venue, so he’s usually able to get us into GA shows if they’re not sold out).

As we were entering the venue, my mom took note of all of the leather jackets and other gothic clothing, and said she was surprised by it. When I said they were clearly the ones there for Gary Numan, she asked if I was joking and acted surprised— I said ‘yeah, he’s like one of the godfathers of dark-wave and industrial’ and her response: “WHAT? The guy who sings ‘Short People?’”
Needless to say, Gary Numan wasn’t her cup of tea, and she left and went to my sister’s apartment in town after the third or fourth song. She didn’t wanna sit thu 40 more minutes of that before the Furs came on. Anyway, now I feel compelled to make a T-shirt with a parody of Telekon that has Randy Newman on it.

It was a great show. I’ve been wanting to see Gary Numan for years, and it never really worked out with my school schedule and his touring schedule until now. He absolutely killed it. Fan-fuckin-tastic. I was less familiar with the Psychedelic Furs, only really knowing their 4 or 5 biggest hits, as well as the entire Forever Now album (because, yk… Rundgren). They were a blast too. The Butler brothers sounded incredible, and their two guitarists had some fantastic interplay. Overall a very nice night.

Just got a ticket to see Primitive Man in Seattle. At Chop Suey, which I thought was a fraternity disco? Anyway, another 21+ show to drive off to with my 17yo standing in the driveway staring at me through the rear view mirror.
