So far the level of commitment isn’t looking great, but it’s still early.
7/10 looks pretty good to me, no? By the time more people respond, if we keep up the same %, we’ll have quite a few people involved. I’m definitely down to participate as long as I don’t have to come up with a new pedal to build— I’ve got stuff in the works, and my mental capacity to come up with a new UV print design is tapped out. If I can use one of those or otherwise something else I’ve already built, I’m definitely excited to participate.
Way to suck the fun out of the room….
Sorry. I have a persistent compulsion to make fun of Kill Tony any time I see someone mention it. it’s almost as bad as my relentless need to make music references any time anyone mentions something that makes me think of a song.

Oh also 2 questions about participating:

  1. Is this supposed to be just audio, or video?
  2. Are existing songs allowed, or should it be written specifically for this? I’ve got piles of tunes I’ve written over the years that I’ve been itching to demo, but I’m also totally down to come up with a new little instrumental ditty specifically for this if that’s more in the spirit of it.

That just means your are on the spectrum. I know I am

I probably won't be able to participate, but obviously I'll be following along and would be more than happy to contribute to the prize.

PSA
for anyone feeling apprehensive about recording a performance / pedals demo:
ime, a great way to hide my lack of chops is to use a looper.

also a super simple way to suck up 3 mins

- drop in some root notes
- chuck some chords or whatever over it
- maybe another layer
- noodle over that
- profit with your coupon codes cos you're a mad lad that actually had a go.
I don't think chops are expected here, it's more about the tones and creativity of the pedal design. So I wouldn't worry about it seeming maybe a little amateur.

I would like to participate and it would be cool to focus the criteria a bit. Ie what's your favorite pedal you've built, or maybe make a brief vid about into how you use your PPCB in your board with a sound demo, or maybe show off some unique characteristic of your building style you put into your pedals?

That just means your are on the spectrum. I know I am
Oh I have no doubt about it. Never was formally diagnosed, but throughout my teens I just kinda assumed I was. Took a screening test once where it said that it’s worth seeking a professional assessment for diagnosis if you score over like 60 points or something like that. I think I scored like 170 out of 180. I could share a whole list (or better yet, a spreadsheet) of all of the things that make it likely I’m on the spectrum, but as it stands I regularly doxx myself on here and on other guitar forums, so I’ll not.

I'm missing a key piece of what I'd need to accomplish this ... thing, project, idea, concept.

The key bit was supposed to arrive in HK in time for me to bring it on home to GWN, but... Musikding failed me, and now my build is on indefinite hold.

I don't know, maybe I can still make it work if I use a second GPCB ParaMix, I have two or three ParaMix boards, I could sub those in until the missing puzzle piece is obtained. What piece? I'm so glad you asked...

Schalltechnik04 OmniLooper should've/would've been used (eventually will be used) with these:
  • GPCB BuffnBlend
  • GPCB ParaMix
  • Moonn SplitnBlend
  • JMK Paralyser
  • JMK Panner
  • THCustom Pro-cessor
  • THCustom Effect-Control
  • PPCB 3-Channel Splitter
  • PPCB 3-Channel Blender
  • VFE Klein Bottle v1
  • VFE Klein Bottle v2 ... and of course the
  • Schalltechnik04 OmniLooper itself...

The ultimate ...

I think this thread is on the spectrum.
Also, I can't conclude what level of commitment this is.
I hate other people's kids, Musk, my neighbor's dogs and only somewhat loathsome, but more of a self loathing...
I do hate kids, and I definitely hate dogs. I'm indifferent about neurospicy people, and I definitely hate myself.

I've never had any kind of assessment but my kids have and they are. It's a generational thing. I first heard about it from the movie Rainman like everyone else.

So, do you need to borrow my OmniLooper?

Video is obviously going to be better than audio alone but not a prerequisite by any means. Audio alone is good enough .

New builds are highly encouraged but not necessary, use what you got.

Same for the media itself, new material is highly encouraged but if you have something that we haven’t seen or heard yet, it’s fair game as long as it fits the criteria? Minimum 2 track 1-4 minutes 4 minutes max… let’s raise it to 4 minutes if someone wants to to do a traditionally structured song.

We are refining the criteria for sure there will be hard lines but I don’t want to limit creativity too much just enough to make it challenging but 💯 achievable.
the point of my post was to encourage ppl to have a go, rather than set expectations
You hit the nail on the head
Hmmm, only 2 tracks? That might be tough........
Can one track be a backing track?
2 tracks minimum do as may as you like.. is this you throwing your hat in the ring? Now this is getting good!

Ahh 2 tracks MINIMUM, I missed that. Yah, count me in.

I was unsure exactly what you were asking so my knee jerk reaction was to meme you… sorry… let’s iron this out, what I was thinking was a contest, build something or use what you got do something fun, if enough people do this some PPCB gift codes will be up for grabs.
No worries. Awesome, I can do that.

Dude, you're here on this forum, trust me, you're on the spectrum...... :ROFLMAO:

looks like the usual suspects, seems like a good time to me, maybe some of the newer members might start chiming in when I make an official post,
