Bass Preamps (Sansamp Bass Driver, B7K, Alpha Omega, etc)

mad bean has 1 for Sansamp, 1 or 3 guys here have build reports, heck, I’m halfway through building a sludge(and whoevever barked last time I did get all insulated jacks😝)and think PPCb here has Dark Glass boards. and a couple on Aionfx…..

I mostly play a downtuned seven string and I can’t recommend the MBP sludge Hammer enough for this exact purpose.

More bass love, please! From the demos I’ve seen, this seems like the best sounding SVT-flavored AIAB style pedal for bass. The catalinbread frankly doesn’t get close to the ampeg sound for bass, even if it’s pretty good on guitar, but this pedal on the other hand… Just check it out.

I live in the US and I probably put in 5 or 6 orders at fuzzdog before discovering this place. Most of the things were available here... I just assumed byoc was the only one in the US. Hopefully paying for international shipping for no reason is where the mojo is.

There are PCBs for Sansamp BDDIv1 and Darkglass B3K, B7K, Vintage (and a mashup of the B3K and Vintage Microtubes!) projects out there already.

I have an Alpha Omega with a broken ribbon cable lying on my desk in front of me, but my tracing skills are rubbish!

Yeah, the only reason I haven't built it is mainly too many builds already in the queue, but also I'm not a fan of vero so it gets pushed even further down the queue because there's no PCB.

If a PCB becomes available, I'll build it and for the graphics use the same font as Sadowsky only call it "The BASS LABOWSKY".

I'm game if he is, but I don't think he'd thank me for it!

1 x 072, 6 x 33178's, 1 x 33179s (18 opamps! Must be a boat-load of filtering going on!), 1 x HEF4013 all SMD on a black PCB.

Save everybody the heartache and build a N.E.W. Bass Overdrive instead. Similar genetics, just not as tight sounding in the bottom end of the drive channel.
