The hybrid switching is cool but in this case I think two footswitches might have been a better choice.
I only briefly clicked through the demos but it looks like it's possible to get it locked into "Tropical" mode where stomping the footswitch doesn't bypass the pedal. (Maybe it takes two stomps, or a hold to release?)
There are apparently three different behaviors but I didn't watch long enough to understand what they are.
For me personally, the charm of hybrid footswitching is that the footswitch still behaves like a normal footswitch at any time when you stomp it.

I hope to see other demos of it. I have a few problems with his. First, his playing is just too good… nothing like a hack like myself would play… he could make a Gorilla Amp sound good.
Secondly, he tends to use too much gain on his amps to the point that everything he demos sounds the same (IE like his high end amps sound without pedals).
But did I mention his playing is downright sick!!! Yes I’m jealous there!
