Best non-dirt pedal you've built

Lectric FX projects are all very interesting. Flintlock, is my favourite flanger, Meridian is my favourite compressor. Aion electronics projects are also really good, Blueshift and Spectron are amazing. I have learned that Guyatone, A/DA and Lovetone circuits are still among the best, with a huge gap compared to other very good brands. They are so rare and expensive on second-hand market that I had no hopes to get even one single unit. I built them because I love modulations and I want to build all the interesting or popular circuits, in order to know more about them and which ones are the best according to various contexts, and according to my tastes. I also learned that calibration can take some time but, even without oscilloscope, there is no reason to be scared...

GuitarPCB Dr. Phybes or the Circulator. I have the Skidmark Sonomatic Deluxe, Gyravibe, and Purple in the works that I think will all be awesome.

Sagan delay from Charcarias fx is always a classic, challenging build with no unobtainium parts. Pitch witch is a fun one. Even being mostly fuzz stuffs offerings from Parasit studio are always interesting. I enjoy the ROG Tri-vibe from Aion. Just ordered a “Bronx Cheer” from GGG, easy but sounds interesting. Bottom line, stay the f away from guitarpcbmania.

A bit late to this but I built the Guitar PCB Mini ME. It's a EHX Small Clone which I always loved the sound of. I had a Analogman Chorus at one point and was thinking about getting it again when I saw that the Guitar PCB had the Mini Me. Because I had mostly done boosts and overdrives I was hesitant for some reason to try it. And that's why I decided I should try it. It turned out great! Got my "Come As You Are" on for a few days after that! That success has led me to my current project - ElectroVibe. Eeek!

No disrespect to pedalpcb but in all fairness the bulk of the projects here are dirt pedals.

No disrespect taken. That's a fair statement.

If you take a look at the Wish List thread you'll notice that the majority of the requested projects are dirt pedals.

It's worth noting that although the ratio does lean towards dirt, we do have 30 modulation projects which isn't too far behind the other guys and that's not including the Cab Sim, Dynamics, Delay, EQ/Filter, Pitch, or Reverb effects... we actually have around 120 non-dirt projects, I don't think that's too terrible.

I also see no point in reinventing the wheel "just because" when one of the other guys has a perfectly good project ready to go.

My priority isn't to give folks a challenge, it's to give them what they ask for.

Dreamy indeed!
If I haven't already got that PCB (who can keep track anymore?), it's going on my list as well.

I think the ratio of "dirt" to "other" for PedalPCB reflects what's out there in commercial/retail pedal availability — the vast majority of pedals are dirt ones.

I've always been a modulation guy, originally my pedalboard had zero dirt pedals on it (preamps, flangers, chorus, compressors, EQ, tremolo, delays. filters, etc...). So you'd think most of my DIY stuff would be geared towards the aforementioned circuits in parentheses... but I mostly build dirt pedals.

I think the best non-dirt pedal I've built is the Low Tide — for now, as I've still got some more flangers to build, including the Byzantium.

yep...luv me some Daydream...

Currently my HOG2, because everything I have built so far is a dirt pedal. That will probably change as I built all the modulation, filters, octavers, and whatnot I have in the near future. I do look forward to building the Daydream I recently received.

THE HOG RULES!!

That daydream really is a fun effect. I only have the arachnid kaleidoscope version so I'm lacking the direction switch but it's probably my favorite setting. Maybe it's a little bit of a toss up with the double tracker.
