Does this build have the lack of output volume problem that Marshall's original has? I love this circuit, but remember it being a little shy on volume.

I would take a look at the glory hole PCB if your looking for more volume

Correct, it is just like the original. We should make a list of all the variants at this point - my personal favorite is the Wampler Pantheon aka PPCB Parthenon

Take a look at the Pro10 Blue, that's basically a Bluesbreaker with a boost tacked onto the end.
