Bootleg Overdrive / Peachtree Overdive build dump

Was able to sit down and actually get a build soldered up last night.
Bootleg Overdrive:
Ended up subbing the diodes for 1N4739 since the were measuring the highest of what I had in hand.... Socketed them in case I ever get some of the ones on the build doc. Sounds like a good mid humpy OD with a lot of compression and good range of gain... It does sound best on low gain as a boost.. Cranked it's a bit raspy for me and my particular setup.. You cant exactly slam the front end of an HX stomp and get good results... But If I ever want a lot of gain I just have to back the volume down so I don't clip out the front end of the stomp and it reacts perfectly.. then I just adjust HX stomp channel volume to taste.

Peachtree Overdive:
Force to be reckoned with. This is actually a pretty pleasing circuit with a lot of useable tones. I've built this one before and someone else wanted one. Like I've said before in my last write up.. The boost function is just not worth the effort.. It should be omitted.. it's a waste of space and $4 worth of switch.. The pedal sounds great though

Love them. I got a peachtree to build and box. The breadboard sounded great. The boost is slight but useful for switching between strat and LP. The graphics rock!

Yeah, I feel the same about the Peachtree boost. I wonder if there's a way to switch out an R value to at least give it more volume?
