Another great one, doesnt quite hit an originals mark on my A/B of my stock Boss Hm-2 but real close the tone section doesnt "feel " the same.

I made one of these a while back, though I only have the behringer clone to compare with. I thought it was also kinda different, especially the treble knob, like it’s distorting more or something.

I found replacing the op amps with 4558 and powering at 12 volts got it about 95% there. Maybe I have a misbiased or bad transistor or something.

Some of that is probably because the original uses G taper pots rather than linear so the controls would react slightly differently.

Before anyone asks, a G-taper pot is similar to a W-taper (i.e., the taper used for the Tubescreamer TONE control): anti-log to mid-point, log after mid-point.
