here is a great place to start. There are plenty on threads scattered here on component selection, if you open up the build doc of the pedal you are working on there is a BOM (bill of materials) and schematic I’m sure someone will be along shortly to expand on this.

Klon has a lot of components, so unless you're really ambitious beginner, may not be the first place to start.

For starting with a good boost/OD type I'd suggest a Lightspeed if you want a more transparent drive, or Zendrive or Eternity Drive if you want a more mid-based boost. Good sounding and not difficult to start with.
