Capacitors from Amazon?

I bought a couple of resistor and caps kids off eBay a while back during my first foray in to this hobby. In my experience they have not been worth it. Lots of values I have never touched and the ones that were useful values were super inconsistent. I did get a bag of greenies from eBay though that test well and that I have used, but it still takes up way more space than necessary and there are lots of values I will likely not use much of. They are now taking up space and are more in the way than anything.

I began ordering extras for the projects I was doing, and, now, every order I do I need fewer and fewer bits, and am getting a sense for what is being used regularly.

It's just a guess, but I think that you could probably save some money by creating your own "kit" at Tayda to get an order of the most commonly used values. Or, even if you didn't save any money, you'd end up with values you know you'll need. YMMV, of course, but I just wanted to share my experience.

Thanks. My "goal" is to find a Vero layout or pcb and have all the parts ready to go to build more on a whim than anything else. Wishful thinking for now, but building up my stockpile seems to be the way to go. The smallbear kit seemed a little pricey.
