Chaos Machine 1u cap

On the Chaos Machine, C10 is a 1u cap. I bought a electrolytic cap like I normally would for 1u. However the silkscreen is a square box, so clearly it’s not electrolytic. 1) can I use electrolytic? 2) does orientation matter? I think the answers are yes and yes, but not sure which way of the orientation and there’s no schematic.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You’re probably supposed to use a mlcc cap...

Have you got two 2.2uf electros handy? You can fake a 1(ish)Uf bipolar if you do!

You can try what Nostradoomus suggested, but electrolytic caps may be too leaky to work at low speed. You should be using a 1uF film or MLCC. The board is laid out for a 1uF film.
