I noticed in the Cheesemonger Fuzz board, it uses a CD4066 switch chip, and a boatload of 1N4148 diodes. This is very different to several of the other Big Cheese type circuits available, which don't use the CD4066 IC , or all the diodes (but do use the TL072 and 3 2N3904's.) How close is this to the original, and what is the purpose for using 8 diodes? Purely for switching, or for fuzz/clipping as well?
Just trying to understand the circuit before I build one.
Thanks,
