I've been struggling with getting my Chop Shop to work right.
I biased the J201s to about 6v using 20k trimmers, but it still didn't quite sound like everyone described it.
So I removed the old through-hold J201s I was using and swapped in some of the newer SMD ones.
Now Q1 is still biasing, but Q2 is hanging out right around 9V, with the slightest variation when I adjust the trimpot.
I checked a few of the adjacent components and swapped in a new C5 capacitor just to be safe, but nothing happened.
Any suggestions what to check next? Bad JFET? Would that have an impact?
