Connecting the LMS LED v2 Daughter Board to the Taqueria Board

Hi,

I got the 3PDT LED v2 board from LMS but I'm not clear on connecting it to the Taqueria board.

The Taqueria PCB has "In Gnd SW Out" at the bottom.

The LMS board has:
J = Input Jack Tip
I = Circuit In
V+ = Positive Voltage - there's 2!
G = Ground
O = Circuit Output
OJ = Output Jack Tip
GND = Ground

I guess the only one I don't see is SW. I was thinking of using a ribbon cable for a quick connection but the pads don't seem to match up with theTaqueria board.. This is my first pedal build so I'm new to this & probably missing the obvious. If SW is used for an LED, I think I can use the other contacts on the LMS board for the LED. Does anybody know what the correct pad is for me to connect SW to?

Thanks

Hi All,

Love My Switches wasn't able to provide me with any information on their board. If anybody can steer me in the right direction, I'd really appreciate it. This is my first pedal project & I'd hate to screw it up. :eek:

Thanks Very Much,
Bruce

SW is using a pole to connect K to ground.

If you’re going to use the CLR and LED on the LMS board, you’ll need to connect A (above the I/G/S/O to V+ on the LMS board. That will bring V+ to the 3PdT board and then should let you use the CLR/LED on the LMs board. There won’t be a connection from SW.

If you can check continuity from the V+ on the switch board to the Anode (Circle pad) on the switch board and it connects (beeps), then you should be good to go. Worst that happens is that the LED doesn’t work.

I’m 98% sure this is correct, but if there’s another set of eyes here to check me, that is golden.

For your first build I would just go without a footswitch board..... To me it just adds complexity and frankly another failure point for a newbs build... just wire the switch up like the build docs say.... there is already a CLR resistor on the pedalpcb board as well as a nice drill guide if you want to build the pedal straight up. Besides..... a green daughterboard makes my ocd kick in with how it looks inside the enclosure that no one will see except us... :ROFLMAO:

With pbrommer's help I was able to muddle through. If I had it to do over again, I'd use a different, simpler footswitch board. Since I already had it, & I'm more averse to messes of wiring than green boards, I decided to use it. :) Using it was a learning experience too which is high on my list.

I got the J201s from StompBoxParts.com. They held up to my ham handedness & are working great. (y)

Thanks

Success!

Taqueria Finished & working GREAT!

Finally I'm no longer a virgin! :giggle:

Thanks for the tips everyone.

I gotta say I am disappointed in the durability of the powder coat on the enclosure I got from Love My Switches. A couple of days screwing around with it and it looks like it's a year old. Is that because it hasn't been clear coated yet? I was planning on doing a waterslide decal on top but couldn't resist finishing it & testing it out. At this point I'm hesitating pulling everything out to do the graphics. :oops:

Cheers
